MAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Robinson led a very competitive Bobcat squad, as his 48th overall finish at the Pre-National Meet was the highest finish of any MAC runner competing in the event. As a team, the Bobcats were also the highest-finishing MAC squad with a 30th-place finish.

MAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Ari Fisher, Toledo, Junior

NCAA Pre-Nationals - White Race 6K
Time: 20:37.6
Ari Fisher continued her success on the course for the Toledo women's cross country team, taking 13th overall in a field of 274 of the nation's top runners and leading the Toledo women to a top-ten finish and an all-time MAC best finish of ninth. The Rocket women beat out several ranked opponents in a very competitive field, including No. 37 Arizona State, No. 27 Florida and No. 31 Harvard. They finished with 342 points, just one point behind the eighth-place NC State and just 31 points behind No. 19 Michigan who finished seventh. The team's 9th place finish is the highest-ever finish by a MAC school at the Pre-NCAA Invitational, besting their previous school and MAC record of 12th in 2002. Fisher finished 13th after leading most of the race, and her top-15 finish was also the best finish since 2002, when Briana Shook earned 10th place.

Junior Andy Morgan led the Zips at the Penn State National finishing 17th among the 263 runners with a time of 25:46.

Chris Moody, Bowling Green State, Senior

Falcon Invitational -- 8K
Time: 25:44.5
Senior Chris Moody finished his final home meet as a Falcon as BGSU's top finisher yet again. Moody, who has finished first for BGSU in every race since the beginning of his sophomore year, placed 28th at the 2010 Falcon Invitational. He completed the 8K distance in 25:44.5.

Penn State National Invite -- 5.2 miles
Time: 26:51:00
Conway paced the UB men with his 86th-place finish in 26:51. Conway has been UB's top men's finisher in each of the three races he's competed in during the 2010 season and he took nearly 30 seconds off the time he posted on the same Penn State course for the season-opening meet on September 11.

Terefe Ejigu posted an impressive performance at the Penn State National Invitational this past Saturday, Oct. 16. His time of 25:23 was good for a first place overall finish, marking the first of his collegiate career. His pace time of 4:53 kept him at the forefront of a competitive 266-participant field. Ejigu has also paced the Green and White in three races this season after this weekendâ€TMs performance, as well as second place finishes at the Notre Dame Invitational (Oct. 1) and the Western International (Sept. 25).

Scott Hilditch, Kent State, Senior

Falcon Invite -- 8K
Time: 24:43.4
Hilditch won the Falcon Invite in Bowling Green, Ohio, last Saturday (Oct. 16) with a time of 24:43.4 to help the Kent State men's cross country team place second overall with 54 points. The first-place finish marked Hilditch's second of the 2010 season, as he won the Tommy Evans Invitational last month to garner Mid-American Conference Men's Runner of the Week honors. The Golden Flashes travel to Ypsilanti, Mich., Oct. 22 to run in the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic.

David Eichenberger, Miami, Sophomore

Falcon Invitational -- 8K
Time: 24:59:00
Eichenberger paced Miami at the Falcon Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green, Saturday as he placed fifth overall as the top RedHawk finisher to lead Miami to a third place team finish. He crossed in a personal-best time of 24:59 and was the second MAC runner to finish in a field of 194 runners that included three MAC squads. It was his second time finishing first for the ‘Hawks this year.

Jon DeWitt, Toledo, Junior

NCAA Pre-Nationals -- 8K
Time: 25:10.2
DeWitt finished 112th (25:10.2) in a field of 241 runners to lead the Rockets. DeWitt paced the Rocket men for the third-straight race as Toledo finished 31st out of 36 teams, including nine of the national top-30. Toledo beat out MAC rival Central Michigan by over 100 points and finished just 11 points behind Ohio.

Beecham was Ohio's top runner at the NCAA Pre-National meet, helping to power the Bobcats to a tie for 25th in the team standings.

Katie Sanders, Buffalo, Sophomore

Time: 22:28
Sanders placed 87th among 304 runners in 22:28, cutting 10 seconds off her time from the September 11 meet along the same Penn State course.

Tori Neubauer Invitational -- 6k
Time: 22:03.6
Courtney Oldenburg set a career-best time of 22:03.60 at the Tori Neubauer Invitational this past Saturday. The Huskie shaved 27 second off of her previous career best, to finish 10th out of 450 runners at the invite, leading NIU. Oldenburg's time of 22:03.60 was the fastest 6k time by a Huskie runner since the 2004 MAC Championships.

Time: 22:03.3
Sophomore Abby Koch placed first among all NCAA Division I runners and third overall at the 2010 Falcon Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 16th. Her time of 22:03.3 in the 6K run was her career best, and it ranks eighth all-time in BGSU history for that distance.

Senior Kim Lorentz led the Akron women placing 22nd last weekend at the Penn State National held at the Penn State Blue and White Golf Courses. Lorentz finished with a time of 21:20 in the 304-runner field.

Rachel Patterson, Miami, Senior

Penn State National Meet -- 6K
Time: 21:07
Patterson paced the RedHawks Saturday at the Penn State National Meet, helping Miami to a fourth-place team finish, as she placed 12th individually in 21:07. The meet consisted of 31 teams, including three nationally ranked teams (one of which was No. 1 Villanova) and five MAC teams, and 304 runners. She was Miami's top finisher for the fourth time this year.

Jessica Lhotsky, Kent State, Senior

Lhotsky posted her best place finish of the 2010 season at the Falcon Invite last Saturday (Oct. 16) in Bowling Green, Ohio, clocking a 22:05.2 to take fourth and help the Golden Flashes finish second as a team with 66 points. The Golden Flashes travel to Ypsilanti, Mich., Oct. 22 to run in the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic.
