MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Carly Harter, Toledo
Sophomore, North Huntington, Pa. (Norwin)
In the first two meets of the season, Harter started very strong, winning all six events she competed in. On Friday, in a close, final-event loss to Illinois, Harter won three individual events, including the 100 Free (51.91), 200 Free (1:51.65) and 200 IM (2:05.40). She was also a part of the first-place 400 Medley Relay team (3:49.07). In Saturday's win over Oakland, Harter competed in two events, winning both the 50 Free (24.08) and 100 Free (52.37).

Rebecca won a pair of events in Saturday's dual meet with Illinois at Ocasek Natatorium. First she led from start to finish in the 1000-yard freestyle swimming a personal best time of 10:26.35. She followed that effort up by also winning the 500-yard freestyle in 5:03.83. Zimmer also swam the anchor leg of the UA 800-yard freestyle relay team that won the Tom Stubbs Invitational Friday night.

Caroline Simmons, Buffalo
Sophomore, Stafford, Va. (Colonial Forge)
Simmons won two sprint freestyle races and anchored a winning relay squad. Simmons won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.85 and later won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.08. Simmons anchored the 400-yard freestyle relay to a victory in 3:31.20. She was preceded into the water by Karly Moore, Jessie Koltz and Jordan Deren.
