MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Laura Lindsay, Toledo
Junior, Uniontown, OH (Green)
Lindsay continued her torrid pace in the breaststroke events, winning both the 100 (1:03.78) and 200 (2:17.58) Breaststroke events against Michigan and remaining undefeated (6-0) in those events for the 2010-11 season. Her time in the 200 Breast was just 0:00.58 behind her own UT pool record, and her time in the 100 Breast was just 0:01.04 behind her own UT pool record as well. With the wins last Friday, Lindsay has now captured first place in 25 of her last 27 regular-season breaststroke events. Lindsay was also a part of the second-place 400 Medley Relay team against Michigan (3:47.72), which bested the previous pool record of 3:48.12 (Lindsay was also a part of that team).

Captured wins in the 200 IM (2:12.36) and 100 frestyle (53.60) to help guide the Cardinals to a 124-65 victory at Eastern Illinois last Sunday. This is the second-straight meet she has won the 200 IM. Richter is currenlty ranked sixth in the MAC in the 200 IM and ninth in the 100 freestyle.

Alie Schirmers, Buffalo
Junior, Coon Rapids, MN (Blaine)
Schirmers won three individual events and was part of a winning relay squad in UB's 152.5-144.5 win at Colgate. Schirmers swept the breaststroke races, winning the 100-yard distance in 1:06.24 and the 200-yard race in 2:23.86. She also won the 400-yard individual medley in 4:31.09 and combined with Karly Moore, Jessie Koltz and Caroline Simmons to take the 200-yard medley relay in 1:48.17.
