The Mid American Conference hosted a Diversity and Inclusion Intercollegiate Forum in Cleveland May 22-23. With funding assistance from the NCAA, the event was held in an effort to raise awareness of the need for diversity and inclusion in athletics as well as address present day issues. Through this forum, the goal was to enhance institutional capacity to create and manage a culture of diversity in the workplace for administrators, coaches, student-athletes and other constituents.
The Mid-American Conference and it's member institutions feel that we can improve diversity and current mindsets by sharing concerns, best practices and how to move forward to gain momentum towards achieving a balanced and diverse athletic community.
