Kent State senior Marc Bourgeois shot rounds of 71-71-74=216 to finish tied for 18th at even-par at the 2007 Louisiana Classics last week (Mar. 5-6) at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La. Bourgeois, the 2006 MAC Championships co-medallist, posted his best finish of the spring season while helping the Golden Flashes to eighth place in the final team standings. It was his fourth top 20 finish in 2006-07 and the 12th of his career. His first two rounds of 1-under 71 were his sixth and seventh rounds of par or better this season.

Andrew Ladwig finished 20th at the USF Invitational, firing a 222, a career-best. On day one he shot a 72, which included a 3-under 33 on the back nine. He then fired a 78 in rainy conditions on day two and concluded the tournament with another 72. Overall there were 90 golfers in the competition.
