Kent State's Veronique Drouin is honored as Women's Golfer of the Week

    Kent State's Veronique Drouin (Sr., St. Agnes, Quebec/Davie (Fla.) Academy) was named as the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the fourth week of the spring season. Drouin's three round total of 229 (79-76-74) placed her in a tie for ninth at the Baylor Tapatio Springs Shootout at the Tapatio Springs Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. Drouin led the Golden Flashes to a fifth-place finish, KSU's eighth consecutive top-10 finish this season.

    Additional nominations:
    Marshall's Sheena Caron (Fr., Bolt, W.Va./Liberty HS) tied for 16th at the William and Mary Invitational with a round of 80 in the rain-shortened event.

    Western Michigan's Erica Bienek (Sr., Scottville, Mich./Scottville HS) tied for first at the William and Mary Invitational with a 73, two-over par. The competition was limited to 18 holes because of weather.
