The Kent State University women's golf team is the 12th seed going into the 2003 NCAA Central Regional announced April 30. The Golden Flashes will compete at the Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb., May 8-10.

"We're very excited about the regional," said 2003 MAC Coach of the Year Mike Morrow. "The players work hard to be consistent throughout the whole season and this is what we play for."

Kent State received its third straight bid to the tournament after winning its fifth consecutive Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship in as many years April 27. The squad looks to return to the NCAA Championships after finishing 15th in its first appearance in 2001.
