MAC Pepsi Player of the Week

Central Michigan senior Scott Pieratt is this week's MAC Pepsi Player of
the Week. In four games last week, Pieratt batted .615 (8-for-13) with
11 RBIs, five home runs and eight runs scored. Pieratt, who also had a
pair of doubles, had back-to-back two home run games on Sunday versus
Toledo and went 5-for-7 with seven RBIs for the day. The second baseman
had three multi-hit, three multi-RBI and three multi-run contests in
four games for the Chippewas, who took three of out of four from the
Rockets.

Shayne Ridley, Ball State -- Batted .538 (7-for-13) with five RBIs, two
home runs and a pair of runs scored in four games against Western
Michigan.
Lee Morrison, Bowling Green -- Was 8-for-13 (.615) against Ohio with two
doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored.
Dan Hyott, Eastern Michigan -- Hit .474 (9-for-19), scored eight runs
and drove in six.
Alex Marconi, Kent State -- Went 8-for-18 (.444) in five games, hitting
three home runs, driving in eight and scoring eight runs.
Eric Pinkerton, Marshall -- Batted .500 (13-for-26) with three doubles,
three home runs and five RBIs.
Jeremy Ison, Miami -- Hit .385 (5-for-13) with three home runs, five
RBIs and three runs scored.
Mike Arbinger, Ohio -- Was 9-for-17 (.529) with seven RBIs, six runs
scored and three doubles.
Jason Stuecher, Toledo -- Hit .500 (6-for-12) with three doubles and
four runs scored.
Jason Richards, Western Michigan -- Batted .600 (6-for-10) with nine
RBIs, two home runs and two runs scored.
MAC Pepsi Pitcher of the Week
Chris Wean, Marshall (Fr., RHP)

Marshall freshman pitcher Chris Wean is this week's MAC Pepsi Pitcher of
the Week, marking the second straight week for a first-year player to
garner the honor. In 8.1 innings, Wean was 1-0 with a save and a 0.00
ERA in two appearances and allowed five hits. Entering the game in the
bottom of the seventh with bases loaded and no outs in the opening game
of the series with Akron, Wean got the first batter to pop up and then
ended the game with a double play. In his start on Sunday, the freshman
no-hit the Zips for the first 4.2 innings en route to his third complete
game of the year.

Sean Harrington, Eastern Michigan -- Was 2-0 with a 3.72 ERA. In 9.2
innings, he struck out five batters.
Don Rodman, Northern Illinois -- Was 1-0 with a 0.87 ERA in three
outings, picking up the win over Eastern Michigan. He gave up eight
runs, only one of which was earned, and allowed 10 hits.
Denny McGee, Ohio -- Tossed a complete game victory against Bowling
Green, striking out six and walking one.
Shawn Wilson, Toledo -- Picked up a win against Central Michigan,
hurling a complete game nine-hitter against the Chippewas.
Shawn Morrison, Western Michigan -- Scattered six hits and struck out
three en route to a complete game six-hitter against Ball State.
