Men's Tennis Opens Championship

TOLEDO, OHIO (April 28) -- The 2000 Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Championship began April 27 with three teams posting first-round victories.

No. 4 seed Toledo bested No. 5 Northern Illinois, No. 2 Bowling Green won over No. 7 Buffalo, and No. 3 Ball State defeated No. 6 Eastern Michigan. All four matches end in a 4-0 score.

In Friday's semifinals, No. 1 seed Western Michigan defeated No. 4 Toledo 4-0 and No. 3 Ball State upset No. 2 Bowling Green 4-0.

The title match between Western Michigan and Bowling Green will take place Saturday, April 29, at 1 p.m. on the UT campus.
