CLEVELAND (September 10) -- Sally Northcroft scored all three goals to lead BSU to its first win of the season, a 3-1 victory over Temple.
She connected on a direct corner play two minutes into sudden-death overtime to lift the Cardinals to a 2-1
overtime win at Syracuse. Her three-goal performance against Temple, was the 13th hat trick of her career. The
game-winning score against Syracuse gave her 80 goals for career, tying the BSU school record.
Other Nominations
Lisette Haars (Kent, Fr., Driegbergen, The Netherlands)
scored two goals in three games for the Golden Flashes. She scored the first goal in a 3-2 win over Providence. Haars opened the scoring for Kent in a 3-2
loss to second-ranked Connecticut.
Whitney Wall (Miami, Sr., F, Flemington,
N.J.) scored three goals in three games. The last two goals came
in Miami's first victory of the season, a 6-0 win over Saint Louis. Wall also scored a goal in the
RedHawks' season opener, a 3-1 loss to Ohio State. She played every minute of every game and leads the team with
her three goals.
Ali Johnstone (Ohio, So., MF, Delta, British
Columbia) had one goal and three assists in two games.
She scored two goals and added an assist to key Ohio past Rutgers, 4-3.

Ball State captured its 300th win in the 25-year history of the program with a 2-1 overtime win at Syracuse
on Monday, Sept. 6 ... The Cardinals have posted a 300-152-18 overall record for a .658 winning mark.
Senior Cheryl Eglin is moving up CMU's career records. With her goal against Northwestern, she is
now fourth in goals (33) and third in points (84) ... Junior April Hammer ranks sixth on CMU's career assists
list with 19.
Laura Meckley scored the game-winning goal with 1:29 remaining to lead Kent past Providence,
3-2...Two freshmen, Lisette Haars and Inge Corten, lead the team in points. Both are from the Netherlands.
