Cleveland - The Mid-American Conference announced its men's swimmer of the week today. The award went to Miami's Peter Dononhue. Donohue posted a MAC Season Best 363.95 points in the one meter dive against Cinicnnati.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Peter Donohue - Miami
Sophomore - Cincinnati, Ohio
Donohue took first in both the one- and three-meter diving competitions against the University of Cincinnati on Friday evening. The Miami and MAC record holder in the one-meter diving event scored 363.95 points on the same event at Cincinnati. Donohue also scored 313.60 in the three-meter diving event.
OTHER NOMINATIONS
Andy Cebull (Eastern Michigan) won both the 1,000 Free (9:28.57) and the 500 Free (4:39.28) in a win against Northwestern. Cebull's time in the 1,000 is the fastest in the MAC this season.
Robert Krichbaum (Ohio) won the one and three meter diving events against Denison with respective career-best scores of 311.10 and 284.85 in helping the Bobcats raise their record to 2-3 overall (1-1 MAC). His one-meter score qualified him for the NCAA Pre-qualification Meet to be held on March 14-15 in Oxford.
