DETROIT, Mich. (AP) (Nov. 25) - Terrell Riggs scored 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Detroit past Eastern Michigan, 73-63, on Saturday (Nov. 25) in Detroit.
A 21-six run over the final 8:10 of the first half put Detroit (3-0) ahead to stay at 39-25.
Eastern Michigan (0-2) pulled to within 44-34 on a Melvin Hicks jumper with 16:33 to go. But the Titans answered with an eight-two run and regained a commanding
52-36 advantage.
Hicks had a team-high of 17 points, including three-of-seven from beyond the three-point arc. Tyson Radney added eleven for the Eagles, who shot 46-point-two percent
from the floor.
Rashad Phillips scored 15 points and Willie Green added ten for Detroit, which made 42-point-nine percent of its shots.
