TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Awvee Storey had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Chad Prewitt had his second career double-double as Arizona State beat Kent State 76-61 Saturday
The Sun Devils won their fourth straight and started 4-1 for the first time in six years with typically strong rebounding and defense.
Arizona State has outrebounded each opponent and held all but one below 70 points.
Prewitt had 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds despite playing with a hip bruise that limited him to 26 minutes, and Donnell Knight scored 18 points.
Trevor Huffman tied his career high with 26 points for the Golden Flashes (1-1), but couldn't prevent his team's seventh consecutive loss in a road opener. Kent State last opened
with a road win at Fairfield in 1993.
The Sun Devils broke the game open with a 12-0 run in the second half.

In the next 1:12, Andrew Mitchell and Huffman also hit 3-pointers, sending Kent State to a 13-8 lead.
The score reached 15-10 before Prewitt's three-point play started a 4 1/2-minute, 14-2 run that carried the Sun Devils to a 24-17 lead with 8:40 left in the first half.
