MAC Player of the Week

Ohio outfielder Andrew See is the MAC's Player of the Week for the
fourth week of the season. See hit .682 (13-for-19) over a five-game
span and drove in 12 runs. In addition, See also scored nine runs, hit
three home runs and had three doubles. Of See's five games, the junior
had three three-hit games and a pair of two-hit contests. In the second
game of Saturday's twinbill with Toledo, See smacked two home runs and
drove in six runs.

Ty Moorhead, Akron -- Hit .289 (11-of-38) with three RBIs and seven runs
scored in 10 games last week.
Matt Wood, Ball State -- Batted .533 (8-for-15) with seven RBIs and
three home runs.
Len Elias, Bowling Green -- Helped the Falcons to a 4-1 week by hitting
.533 (8-for-15) and scoring nine runs.
Mike Galloway, Central Michigan -- Doubled home two of the team's three
runs in a win over Ohio State, then drove home three in a loss to Oregon
State.
Dan Hyott, Eastern Michigan -- Went 7-for-10 (.700) in three contests
last week, including a 4-for-4 performance against Wayne State.
Jess Bechard, Kent -- Hit .556 (10-for-18) in four Golden Flashes games,
hitting two home runs and recording two doubles.
Marty Rini, Marshall -- In two games, hit .600 (6-for-10) with two home
runs and three RBIs in a sweep of Youngstown State.
John Lackaff, Miami -- Batted .632 (12-for-15) with six RBIs, helping
the RedHawks to a 4-1 record last week.
Pat Kerrigan, Northern Illinois -- Was 5-for-11 (.455) in four games,
driving in three runs.
Mike Ernst, Toledo -- Had four multi-hit games and hit .625 (10-for-16),
driving in seven runs.
John Toner, Western Michigan -- Hit two home runs and drove in seven
runs last week, and batted .316 (6-for-19).
MAC Pitcher of the Week
Dan Schell, Central Michigan (Sr., RHP)

For the third straight week a Central Michigan hurler has been named the
league's Pitcher of the Week. This week's honoree is senior Dan
Schell. Schell, a right-handed pitcher, tossed a three-hitter against
Ohio State, striking out seven and walking one in a 3-2 win.
Other nominees:
Chad Wells, Ball State -- Went 2-0 with a save in five appearances last
week. In 7.2 innings, he struck out 13 and walked only two and allowed
three earned runs (3.50 ERA).
Craig Menke, Bowling Green -- Tossed the team's second complete game of
the year, a two-hitter against Buffalo. Menke struck out 10 and walked
one.
Dustin Sampson, Kent -- Pitched seven innings of seven-hit ball against
Coastal Carolina, striking out three en route to the victory.
Dan Badgley, Northern Illinois -- Fanned 10 and walked none in a
complete game victory over Mount St. Clare.
Denny McGee, Ohio -- Struck out six and walked two in a seven-inning win
over Toledo. He also gave up eight hits and two earned runs.
Nick Rowland, Toledo -- Went 1-0 in two relief appearances, striking out
four in 4.1 innings of work.
Keith Perez, Western Michigan -- Matched his career-high of 11
strikeouts against Cleveland State and allowed only three hits in the
11-0 win over the Vikings.
