Kent's Dawn Zerman and Ball State's Michelle Shaughnessy are the MAC's
Pepsi Co-Offensive Players of the Week after each player nearly topped
the 30 point plateau and helped their respective teams to wins. Zerman
had 28 points (6-of-10 FG), six rebounds, three assists and added four
steals in 39 minutes of action in the Golden Flashes' 63-55 win at home
against Kansas State. The senior also was successful on 14-of-16
attempts from the charity stripe.
Shaughnessy scored a career-high 29 points and pulled down six rebounds
in 28 minutes in the Cardinals' 70-60 win over Wright State. The
sophomore, who has Ball State off to its first .500-plus record at the
holiday break in five years, was 7-of-10 from the floor and 15-of-18
from the free throw line, which set a school and arena record.
Other nominees:
Angie Farmer, Bowling Green -- Had 18 points, two rebounds, two assists
and three steals in 25 minutes in the Falcons' loss to Washington State.
Shelly Woods, Central Michigan -- Had a career-high 27 points, 20 of
them in the second half, and tied a career-best with 10 rebounds in the
Chippewas' loss at Oakland.
Heather Cusick, Miami -- Registered 11 points and passed out a
career-high nine assists in Miami's win versus the College of
Charleston.
Charbea Haller, Northern Illinois -- Tallied 15 points and dished out
five assists while adding three rebounds and two steals versus
Evansville.
Cathy Szall, Ohio -- Scored a career-best 25 points, including 21 on
three-point field goals, in the team's game with Michigan State.
Szall's seven three-pointers are tied for the second most in school
history.

AuBree Hamilton grabbed nine rebounds, recorded two steals and blocked a
shot in the RedHawks' victory over the College of Charleston. Hamilton
also tallied 12 points in 18 minutes of action.
