MAC Pepsi Offensive Player of the Week

Heather Cusick, Miami (Fr., G) Kokomo, Ind. (Kokomo HS)

Heather Cusick was named MVP of Northwestern's Roger L. White Invitational after averaging 17 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game for the RedHawks, who won the tournament. In addition, Cusick connected on 57 percent of her shots from the floor (17-of-30) and 81 percent from the free throw line (13-of-16). Cusick, who opened the week with a 12-point, 6-rebound, 9-assist performance versus Wright State, had 16 points, three rebounds and four assists in the tourney's opener versus New Hampshire. The freshman closed out the tournament with 23 points, seven rebounds, and six assists against the Big Ten's Northwestern.

MAC Defensive Player of the Week

Kristin Koetsier, Western Michigan (Fr., C) Grandville, Mich. (Grandville HS)

In her team's only game of the week, Koetsier had 15 rebounds, five blocks one steal and added 15 points in the Broncos' 80-62 win over Detroit. Of the freshman's 15 rebounds, 14 of them were on the defensive end. In addition, Koetsier hit 47 percent of her shots from the floor.
