April 3 Veronique Drouin, KSU (So., St. Agnes, Quebec)
Drouin tied for first place at the Baylor/Iowa San Antonio Shootout
March 26-27. She shot rounds of 71-75 (146) to lead Kent State
to a
second-place team finish (309-305--614).
March 27 Candace Artz, Ohio (Jr., Stow, Ohio)
Juliee Sovesky, Ohio (Sr., New Castle, Pa.)
Artz and Sovesky tied for fifth place at the Saluki Invitational March
25-26. Artz shot rounds of 77-78 (155), while Sovesky came from
behind
with scores of 81-74 (155). Ohio finished second at the event
with a
score of 640 (323-317).
March 20 Martina Gillen, KSU (Fr., Dublin, Ireland)
Gillen tied for first place at the Spalding/Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational
March 12. She shot a round of 72, leading Kent State to a tie
for third
place (310).
March 13 Martina Gillen, KSU (Fr., Dublin, Ireland)
Gillen tied for fourth at the Green Wave Women’s Golf Classic March
5-6. She shot 77-77-75--229 to lead Kent State to a fourth-place
finish

March 6 Veronique Drouin, KSU (So., St. Agnes, Quebec)
Drouin opened the spring season with a tie for fifth place at the Lady
Aztec Spring Invitational Feb. 12-13. She shot a round of 77.
The
Golden Flashes tied for third place (317) as a team, behind frontrunners
Brigham Young (311) and Michigan (311).
