The Mid-American Conference announced it's Men's Swimmer of the Week today. The award went to Buffalo's Luke Adams (Quinnesec, Mich./Kingsford).
Adams registered a pair of career-best swims in his races to lead the
Bulls over the weekend. Adams finished sixth in the 100-yard backstroke in
52.53 on Saturday, after turning in a career-best 52.32 in the qualifying
heats. He came back Sunday with another sixth-place finish in the 200-yard
backstroke in 1:53.25, after lowering his career-best in the event during
the preliminaries with a 1:52.69 clocking. Buffalo finished 12th of 24 teams at the ECAC Championships.
Buffalo, along with all other conference squads, will now travel to the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. The Championships will be held this weekend (Mar. 3-5) on the campus of Miami University.
