Roach remained unbeaten in MAC play in singles and doubles this weekend with a, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, win over Western Michigan's Melanie Remynse at No. 3 singles. She also had a win at No. 3 singles over Tanja Sukovic of NIU, 6-0, 6-3. Roach teamed up with Libby Gerding to defeat WMU, 8-5, and Northern Illinois, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles.

Other Notable Performances

Bowling Green's Erika Wasilewski went 2-0 at No. 3 singles and 1-1 at No. 2 doubles. She beat NIU's Tanja Sukovic, 6-2, 6-2, and Western Michigan's Melanie Remynse, 6-2, 6-4, at the third spot. Wasilewski teamed up with Lisa Maloney at No. 2 doubles to defeat NIU, 8-4.

Marshall's Anna Mitina went 5-1 last week in singles and doubles matches. Mitina defeated Rebecca Hawkins of EMU, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. She also defeated Alina Klinova of Duquesne, 6-1, 6-2, and Whitney Wasielewski of Toledo, 6-1, 6-2. Mitina partnered with Ana Ceretto to defeate Duquesne, 8-1, and Toledo, 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Miami's Janet Baker was 2-0 at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Baker only gave up five games in her two matches. She defeated Natalya Natyshak of Toledo, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 2 singles. Baker then defeated Shari Gamarnik of Eastern Michigan, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3 singles.

Northern Illinois' Branka Savic went 2-0 at No. 1 singles. She defeated Bowling Green's Meghan Rhodes, 6-4, 6-3. Savic then defeated two-time All-MAC Gena Tranquada of Ball State, 1-6, 6-0, 6-3.

Western Michigan's Frederika Girsang was 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 2-0 at No. 3 doubles. Girsang defeated Libby Gerding of Ball State, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1, and then teamed up with Mariana Quintanilla to beat Ball State, 8-1. Girsang beat Abby Bratton, 6-3, 6-2, and again teamed up with Quintanilla to defeat Bowling Green, 8-1.
