Westerhoff was 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles play as Ball State continued its defense of the MAC Championship. Westerhoff beat Buffalo's Boni Susanto, 6-1, 6-7, 10-4 at No. 1 singles and he also defeated Toledo's Pete Baghdati at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-3. Westerhoff combined with Chris Varga at No. 2 doubles to defeat Buffalo 8-1, and Toledo, 8-4.

Other Nominees

Bowling Green's Geoff Hiscox beat Western Michigan's Fernando Garcia at the No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3. Hiscox was 1-1 last week against the Broncos.

Toledo's Baghdati and Lomena teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles versus Ball State.

Western Michigan's Steve Pillon went 2-0 in a MAC win over Bowling Green. Pillon defeated the Eagles' Mike Kossoff in a marathon match, 6-7 (16-14), 6-2, 7-6 (5) at No. 3 singles. Pillon teamed up with Ravishankar Pathanjali to beat Michel Lopez/Vitek Wild at No. 2 doubles, 8-3.
