Pepsi Female Co-Athletes of the Week
Ball State- Beth Clark - Junior -
Freeport, Pennsylvania--After missing the 1998-99 seasonwith an injury, she returned to action and scored the second-best MAC score ever in the 3-meter dive with a 307.50. The score is a new Ball State record and a new Lewellen Aquatic Center record. Clark also won the 1-meter with a score of 277.65.
Toledo- Sheonna Lottering - Freshman -
Pietermarltzburg, South Africa--Finished first in all six of the events she competed in this week. Against Oakland, she won the 1000 Freestyle, the 200 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle. Her times in the 200 Free and the 500 Free were the fourth-fastest in the conference this season. Against Kenyon, she won the same three events and her time in the 1000 Freestyle (10:21.57) is the second-fastest this season in the MAC.

Toledo- Paul Southey - Junior -
Pretoria, South Africa-- Had four first-place finishes over the week. Against Oakland, Southey swam the 50 Freestyle in 0:21.16, his second-best time of the year and the second-best time in the conference this year. Southey already has the best time in the 50 free at 0:20.98. Against Kenyon, he also took first in the 50 free and the 100 Freestyle with a time of 0:46.56, the top time in the conference this year. He was also on the Toledo 400 Freestyle Relay team that picked up a first-place finish against Kenyon with the second-best conference time this season (3:08.22).
Other Notable Female Performances
Bowling Green - Laura Segerlin - Won both the 1-meter and the 3-meter in dual meet competition. She scored 246.95 in the 1-meter and 269.70 in the 3-meter
Buffalo - Lisa Bottrich - Had individual firsts in the 200 IM (2:15.15) and in the 100 Backstroke (1:01.65). Also placed first on the 200 Medley Relay team (1:48.74).
Northern Illinois - Susan Wohlford - Swam in three evening sessions at the Minnesota Invitational. Had a season-best time of 2:28.91 in the 200 Breastroke during the preliminaries.
Other Notable Male Performances
Northern Illinois - Mick Coyne- Was the only Northern Illinois swimmer to qualify for the finals on all three days of the Minnesota Invitational. He placed fourth in the 200 Individual Medley and fifth in the 400 Individual Medley at the Invitational.
