Patterson tallied 43 kills over a two-match period for a 5.38
per-game-average for Kent, which won matches against Central Michigan
and Ball State, In addition, Patterson also averaged 4.0 digs and hit
.290. The senior had 20 kills, 14 digs and hit .375 in the Golden
Flashes' three-game win over the Chippewas, then had a team-high 23
kills and 18 digs in the win over West Division-leading Ball State. The
win over BSU for Kent helped secure the No. 6 seed for the MAC
Tournament.

Ball State sophomore Julie Zylka wins the MAC Defensive Player of the
Week honor for the second time this season after averaging 2.0 blocks
per game, in addition to hitting .347 and averaging 3.78 kills per
contest for the Cardinals. Zylka, who leads the MAC in block assists,
had nine total blocks (2 BS, 7 BA) in BSU's win at Akron, then had nine
total blocks (1 BS, 8 BA) in the team's loss at Kent.
