Pepsi Female Athlete of the Week
Buffalo- Dawn Hickey - Sophomore -
Brockport, New York -
Broke three Buffalo school records this past weekend and picked up two first place finishes in the process. The sophomore from Brockport broke Buffalo records for the second-straight week in the 1650 (17:14.50) and 500 (5:00.51) free races while her 10:21:20 time in the 1000 free split is also a new Buffalo mark.

Ball State - Louwrens Appleryn - Junior -
Somerset, South Africa -
Totaled five individual victories and a second-place finish to lead Ball State over Northern Illinois and Miami last week. Two of Appleryn's wins were back-to-back victories in the 200 backstroke (1:57.77) and the 500 free (4:42.77) to lift the Cardinals over last year's MAC champion Miami 122-121.
Other Notable Female Performances
Bowling Green - Nancy Simpson -
Took first in the 200 backstroke (2:06.93) and helped the 200 medley relay team to a first place finish. She also place third in the 100 fly (0:59.77) and fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:16.63)
Miami - Katherine Sheridan -
Led Miami to first win of year by placing first in all three of her events. She won the 200 free (1:58.1), 500 free (5:06.18) and the 1650 free (17:15.63). Sheridan is the defending MAC champ in these events.
Northern Illinois - Lis Rose -
Helped the 200 medley relay team to a first-place finish (1:51.00) and took first in the 50 free (0:25.83). She also swam to a second-place finish in the 100 free (0:54.46).
Ohio - Kim van Selm -
Won the 50 free (0:25.17) and the 500 free (4:54.76) against Kenyon College. She also finished first in the 200 free (0:51.78) to help Ohio start 2-0 in the conference.
Toledo - Sheona Lottering -
Took a first-place in the 100 free (0:59.92), second-place in the 200 free (1:53.84) and a fourth-place in the 100 free with a time of 0:59.92. The 200 free relay team she is on also set a new pool record and team record for Toledo.

Buffalo - Dan Hickey -
Three first-place finishes this week. Hickey won the 200 free (1:41.80), 100 free (46.56) and was part of the 200 free relay (1:26.73).
Northern Illinois - Mick Coyne -
Won three victories in the span of six races. Took first in the 200 individual medley (1:54.15), 200 fly (1:57.61) and the 200 backstroke (1:54.23).
Ohio - Vermund Vetness -
Picked up two first-place finishes against Kenyon in the 50 free (0:21.60) and the 100 free (0:47.18). He also finished first against Buffalo in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:57.60.
Toledo - Paul Southey, Jr. -
Had three first place finishes in the 50 free (0:20.98), 100 free (0:45.94) and the 200 medley relay. The 200 medley relay team's time of 1:33.28 set a new pool record at Toledo.
