Men's Player of the Week

Bowling Green's Geoff Hiscox (Jr., London, Onterio) went 5-0 as the Falcons won three matches last week. He defeated Ryan Maarschalk of WMU 6-2, 6-7, 6-0 at the second singles flight, in BG's 7-0 win over the Broncos. Hiscox teamed with Joel Carney for a third flight doubles win in that match. That duo won versus Robert Morris (8-0, #2 flight) and Wright State (8-2, #3 flight) earlier in the week. In his only other singles match, he beat WSU's Chad Camper at the # 1 flight. He is 20-9 in singles and 19-10 in doubles this year.

Other Notable Performances

Ball State's Kevin Burnett (Jr., Greenwood, Ind.) registered a 6-3, 6-1 victory over NIU's Aaron Forsburg at No. 4 singles after combining with Jason Pressel for an 8-3 decision over the Huskies No. 1 doubles tandem.

Northern Illinois' Raymond van Wasbeek (Jr., Vaassen, The Netherlands) went 3-0 on the week in singles and 2-1 in doubles. He defeated Chicago State in singles and doubles. He defeated Buffalo's Fery Kasiman 6-0, 6-1 after defeating Jason Pressel of BSU 6-3, 6-7, 6-3. He also teamed with Aaron Forsberg to go 1-1 in No. 1 doubles.

Toledo's Dipesh Rao (Jr., Mumbai, India) won both of his matches at No. 1 singles versus WMU and Buffalo. He also won at No.1 doubles versus Buffalo.

Western Michigan's Ryan Maarschalk (Jr., Harare, Zimbabwe) posted a 3-1 record in two MAC matches. He teamed with Ravishankar Pathanjali to win the No.1 doubles match 8-5 over Dipesh Rao and Alex Farron-Mahon of Toledo. He then went on to beat Pete Baghditi in the No.2 singles match 4-6,6-3,6-3. He helped the Broncos earn a 4-3 win over Toledo. Again he teamed with Pathajali to win a No.1 doubles match, this time over Vitek Wild and Ed Kuersman of BGSU 8-4.
