TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) (Sept. 30, 2000) -- Chester Taylor and Tavares Bolden each
rushed for two touchdowns as Toledo routed Central Michigan 41-0 Sept. 30.
Taylor had 152 yards on 24 carries, and Bolden gained 15 yards on six attempts
for the Rockets (4-1, 1-1 Mid-American Conference).
The Rockets had 457 yards compared to 168 for the Chippewas (1-4, 0-1), had a
29-8 advantage in first downs and were never forced to punt.
Toledo, rebounding from a close loss at Western Michigan last week, led 17-0 after
the first quarter and 31-0 at the half.
Taylor and Bolden each ran for scores in the opening quarter and Todd France added
the first of his two field goals.
Taylor had a 2-yard touchdown run with 4:47 left in the second quarter, and Antwon McCray,
who gained 75 yards on 13 attempts, had a 10-yard TD run with 44
seconds left in the half to make it 31-0.
