Co-Men's Tennis Player of the Week Named

Ball State's Chris Varga (Jr., Granger, Ind.) led the team to a 3-2 record over spring break. He was 3-0 in singles plus combined for a 2-2 mark at No. 2 doubles. In his three singles matches, he scored two-set victories at No. 2 over opponents from Memphis, North Carolina State and Southern Mississippi.

Bowling Green's Nicolas Lopes-Acevedo (Jr., Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) went 4-1 overall last week. He won at both No. 4 singles and No.2 doubles at S.E. Louisiana. He picked up a come-from-behind victory at No.3 singles at New Orleans and lost at No.3 singles agains Michigan State. Lopes-Acevedo picked up a win at the top doubles flight versus the 62nd ranked Spartins. Oh the year he leads BGSU in both singles wins and overall victories. He is now 16-9 in singles and 12-7 in doubles this year. He is already ranked among the BGSU career top-20 in singles (60), doubles (56) and overall wins (116).
