Female Scholar Athlete of the Week: February 14-20

Buffalo Kourtney Brown (basketball)
Kourtney Brown (Sr., 3.335, electrical engineering (graduated with computer engineering degree) averaged 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games during the week. She scored 19 against Akron with three blocked shots and adding two steals and two assists. She recorded a double-double at Kent State with 18 points and 15 rebounds (nine offensive). Brown shot 15-of-27 (.555) from the floor in the two games and 7-of-10 (.700) from the free throw line. She also broke her own single season scoring record during the week and now has 560 points (21.5 ppg) for the season

The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during the week's competition. The winners are selected by a group of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.
