The Mid-American Conference announced it's Swimmers of the Week today. The awards went to Eastern Michigan's Joe Bublitz (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) and Buffalo's Jennefer Brankovsky (Toronto, Ontario/Don Mills CI). Bublitz led EMU to a regular-season undefeated season in the MAC with two individual event first-place tallies in EMU's 138.50-104.50 win over host Ball State, Feb. 11. Bublitz captured the 200 yard individual medley in 1:55.75, and won the 200 backstroke in 1:54.97. Bublitz was also a leg in the third-place 400 yard medley relay (3:33.14). In all, Bublitz helped account for 21 total team-points in EMU's 12th consecutive victory over Ball State. This is the second time this season that the senior has been selected for the weekly honor.

She later scored her second win with a victory in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:11.30. Brankovsky also placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in a season-best 58.66.
