The Mid-American Conference announced it's Women's Golfer of the Week today. The award went to Ball State junior Carmen Bodine (Martinsville, Ind./ Martinsville). Bodine fired an opening-round 73 Friday and followed with a final-round 77 Saturday to tie for first overall at the Illni Spring Classic played at Stone Creek Golf Club in Urbana, Ill.
As a team, the Cardinals finished in sixth place overall with a two-round score of 646. Illinois captured the team title in its own event with a score of 616.
Although Bodine tied for first place, she was awarded the second place trophy due to a tiebreaker procedure of lowest final round. Bodine tied with Illinois' Kristine Cook with a two-round score of 150, however Cook's final-round 72 gave her the outright medalist honors.

McCann finished T-16th at the Illini Classic held in Champaign, Ill., last weekend. McCann, who leads the Falcons with an 81.2 average for the season, shot two rounds of 81 and 79. BGSU finished tied for 9th at the tournament.
