Béland helped the Zips to a second-place finish over the weekend at the 2005 SummaCare Invitational. She finished with five victories in seven events and set a total of 11 records on the weekend. On Friday, Béland broke the four-year old meet, pool and school records in the 200-yard Individual Medley in victorious fashion with a time of 2:04.69. She later helped the 400-yard medley team break the meet, pool and school record, clocking in at 3:51.63 for a first-place finish. On Saturday, Béland helped the 200 medley relay squad sweep the relays, breaking the meet record in 56.14 seconds with a win in the 100 butterfly. On Sunday, she ended the Invitational with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a meet and pool-record time of 2:01.35.
