Piercey won three individual events and swam on the winning 800-yard
freestyle relay squad to help lead host Eastern Michigan to a first-place finish in the 10-team EMU Invitational. Piercey's wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.22), 500 freestyle (4:31.18) and 1,650 freestyle in
15:19.03 were all MAC-best times this season. Piercey's 1,650 freestyle
time was more than 22 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher and is
the second-best time in program history. Piercey helped lead the Eagles
to its ninth straight team title in the annual event.
