Updated 4/18/2006

Tony Epkey - Ball State
Senior - Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove HS
Epkey was an integral part of the Cardinals earning at least a share of the Mid-American Conference regular season title after going 4-0 last week. In Tuesday's match versus IPFW, Epkey picked up his ninth win of the season at No. 3 singles when he downed Hermann Kuschke (IPFW) 6-1, 6-1. Epkey also teamed with brother, Jarrod, at No. 2 doubles to secure an 8-5 victory over Gonzalez and Salgado. More importantly, Tony aided the Cardinals in two points versus No. 52 Western Michigan Saturday. He and brother Jarrod sparked BSU's momentum when they were the first match to finish and win at No. 2 doubles. The duo took down WMU's Birchmeier and Orozco 8-5 and added its 10th win at the No. 2 position this season. The victory, which improved the duo's record to 4-0 in MAC play, was also the 21st overall for the brother tandem during 2005-06. In singles play versus WMU, Tony picked up the Cardinals' third point in the outing after downing Birchmeier 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
