Women's Golfer of the Week
Sara Boogaard, Toledo
Sr., Grand Rapids, Mich.
Boogaard led the Rockets to their first tournament title of the season and helped UT set a pair of school records in the process. The senior tied for fourth place overall with a four-over par 148 at the Illini Spring Classic as the Rockets set school records for lowest 18-hole score (295) in Saturday's final round and lowest 36-hole score (602) for the two-day tournament. She ranks sixth in the MAC with her 77.59 stroke average this season.
Sara Ann Palmer, Ohio
Posted her second career top 10 finish by tying for seventh at the Bonnie Hoover Invitational (James Madison). Posted rounds of 75 76 and 75 for a three round total of 226.
Caitlan Roschek, Western Michigan
Roschek finished tied for second at the Bronco Invitational,
helping the team successfully defend its title at the event. She
tied for team medalist honors, carding a 36-hole total of 155
(75-80). Her opening round of 75 included four birdies and was the
second-best score on the day in the field of 59 golfers. Roschek
has now earned at least a share of team medalist honors three times
