Indianapolis- After a rough start, Kent State pulled away late in the third round shooting five -under-par (283). The Golden Flashes remain in the lead with a six-under-par score of 858 (286-289-283).

Kent State has the lead in individuals as well. Tied for third after round two, Tommy Wiegand, 2005 co-champion, finished strong and leads all individual scores at six-under-par (73-69-68--210). No one has repeated a as individual champion, since Miami's Sean Gorgone in 1990.

KSU teammates Marc Bourgeouis (71-73-70--214) and Tom Ballinger (72-71-72--215) sit at second and third, respectively. Ball State's Brandon Boomsma is even par (72-73-71--216) in fourth place.

In team scoring, Ball State (290-290-293) and Eastern Michigan (291-294-288) are tied for second at nine-over-par (873) at the end of round three.
