Bob James Memorial Award Recipient

Bowling Green State University's Megan Chronister (gymnastics) has been named the recipients of the 2010 Bob James Memorial Award by the Mid-American Conference Faculty Athletics Representatives as announced by the league office.

Chronister maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA in pre-physical therapy and graduated in May with Summa Cum Laude and Presidential honors with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science degree. Chronister, a native of York, Pa., competed for four years as a bar and beam specialist for the Falcon gymnastics team. She was named MAC Gymnast of the Week on January 27, 2007 for her performance on beam against Northern Illinois University.

Chronister was named second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV and Bowling Green's Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2009-10. A four-year Dean's List student, Chronister will attend Thomas Jefferson (Pa.) University in the fall where she will begin graduate classes in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.
