OXFORD, Ohio - Due to a facility conflict, the Miami University men's and women's swimming and diving meet originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14 at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio has been moved to Friday, Jan. 13 at 4 p.m. in the Nixon Aquatic Center.
Previously a three-team meet featuring Kenyon College, the University of Cincinnati and Miami, a fourth team, the University of Louisville, has been added to the list of competing teams. For Kenyon and Cincinnati, this will be their second visit to the Nixon Aquatic Center this season as both squads also participated in the Miami Invitational on Dec. 1-3.
For Miami, both its men's and women's teams are coming off a successful first half of the season and are ranked in the Division I Mid-Major Poll on collegeswimming.com. The Miami men (3-1, 2-0 in MAC) are ranked No. 9 in the poll, while the Miami women, (6-1, 4-0 in MAC) are ranked No. 2. The women, who have won the last four conference titles, also own a streak of 36 consecutive Mid-American Conference dual meet wins dating back to Feb. 3, 2001.
