WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Victoria Pulido - Miami
Sophomore - Cuernavaca, Mexico/ITESM Morelos
Pulido led Miami out to a 2-0 MAC start via a pair of 4-3 victories, tallying the decisive point in each win. The sophomore, who was 2-0 at third doubles and 2-0 at No. 5 singles on the week, downed Eastern Michigan's Catherine Bestahorn 7-5, 6-7, 6-0 to break a 3-3 tie in a key 4-3 victory over the Eagles. On Saturday, she battled past Toledo's Sarah Horning 6-4, 7-5 to, again, provide the decisive fourth point for a 4-3 Red and White victory. The sophomore stands at 9-4 in singles this spring, including a current four-match winning streak, and owns a 7-1 record and four-match winning streak at No. 3 doubles with classmate Leda Pesatova.
