MAC Women's Golfer Of The Week

Bailey shot a one under par 71 to open the first round of the NIU Springlake Invitational. Her 71 set an NIU all-low score for the Springlake tournament. Bailey, who was tied for fifth place after the first day, fired a closing round 76 to finish at 147 in eighth place all by herself. The Huskies finished sixth in the 18-school field which completed the 36-hole tournament

Amanda Bader, So., Bowling Green, Lima, Ohio (Lima Central Catholic)
Bader led the Falcons to the St. George Invitational Tital with a third place finish this past weekend. Bader's 78-79-153 was the best two-round score by a Falcon this season and her third-place finish was the best of her career. She was also just one stroke off her best 18-hole performance. There were a total of 41 golfers in the tournament.

Kira Meixner, So., Kent State, Richmond, B.C. (Hugh Boyd Secondary)
Meixner finished 12th at the "Mo" Morial Invitational over the weekend. Meixner played a steady three rounds, carding 78-77-77 for a 232 total. The Golden Flashes ended up finishing seventh with a team total of 945, finishing just three shots out of fourth place.

Laura Bavaird, So., Western Michigan, Grosse Ili, Mich. (Grosse Ili)
Bavaird shot a 77, as she did on the first day, in the final round and finished tied for 21st. Bavaird slipped up on day two with a second round score of 81 but battled back to card a score five-over-par, finishing the 54-hole event with a 235. She tied with Stephanie Otteson from UNC-Wilmington.
