Western Michigan Casey Cullen (tennis)

Casey Cullen (Jr., 3.72, marketing, Beverly Hills, Mich.) reached the 50-win plateau by sweeping the Toledo Rockets in the final regular season match for the Broncos. Cullen won his 14th consecutive doubles match to finish 5-0 in the MAC with an 8-3 victory with Pablo Olivarez over Bryant Dudzik and Terence Weigand. The win was the MAC-high 30th doubles victory of the season for Cullen and improved his dual record to 22-4. Cullen came back in singles to defeat Gursher Harika 6-4, 6-0 to finish the year 3-1 in MAC singles.

The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during the week's competition. The winners are selected by a group of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.
