ADDITIONAL NOMINEES

Albert Alant - Buffalo
Jr. - Pretoria, South Africa/Niskayuna HS (NY)
Alant was the deciding factor in UB's 4-3 win over regional rival St. Bonaventure. Alant needed to win two tiebreakers over Victor Lecina in the number five singles match to claim the win for the Bulls. Alant won the first set, 7-6 (7-2 in the tiebreaker), but dropped the second set, 6-1, to set up the climactic third set. Again Alant was forced into a tiebreaker by Lecina and prevailed, 7-3, to give UB the match.

Brian Livingston - Northern Illinois
Fr. - Skokie, Ill. / Niles North
Livingston went unbeaten for the weekend capturing a pair of victories in the No. 1 singles position and earning two wins along with partner Alex Friesen in the No. 1 doubles slot. In singles, he was a 6-4, 6-4 straight set winner of UWGB veteran Tim Prudlow before notching a dominating 6-1, 6-0 victory over Bradley's Marko Marevic. In doubles, he and Friesen were 8-6 winners against the Phoenix and used that same tally for a win versus Bradley.

Al Nabhani won both of his matches against #75 Columbia on Sunday, the only Rocket to do so. The freshman defeated a solid player in Jimmy Moore at first singles 6-3, 2-6, 7-6. At first doubles, Al Nabhani and partner Tony Tran got the better of Jimmy and Marty Moore 8-5.
