CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference announced its 2013 Field Hockey Academic All-MAC team Wednesday, as voted by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions. A total of 21 student-athletes were named to the team. The number of honorees on the MAC All-Academic Team is the number that is set for the specific sport or 33% of the number of nominees, whichever is greater.
Central Michigan led this year's team with a total of six selections. The Chippewas were represented by Jordyn Brengosz, Bailey McKeon, Kaysie Gregory, Simone Lazar, Anne Middeldorp and Skylar VanNatta. Kent State and Miami each had the next most selections with a total of five as Sabrina Binder, Hannah Faulkner, Susanne Felder, Rebecca Lee and Alexis Madeira represented the Golden Flashes and Bea Dechant, Ali Froede, Emily Gruesser, Alyssa Logan and Sarah Mueller represented the RedHawks.
