Updated 5/24/2013

CLEVELAND - The Mid-American Conference announced its 2012-13 Women's Golf Academic All-MAC team Friday, as voted on by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions. A total of 13 student-athletes were named to the team.

This year's squad was highlighted by Kent State’s Jennifer Ha, the 2013 MAC Women’s Golfer of the Year, First Team All-MAC and All-Tournament Team member, as well as a participant that advanced to the NCAA Championships after the Golden Flashes' 15th consecutive MAC title. Joining Ha is MAC Sportswoman of the Year, Ohio’s Sarah Tranelli. Also making the team were Top 20-finishers at the MAC Championship, Jenna Hague of Ball State, Shelby Wilson of Bowling Green, Alyssa Kwon of Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan’s Kaylee Imel.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50% of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
