ATHENS, Ga. – Following a terrific second round that moved her halfway up the leaderboard, Kent State sophomore Jennifer Ha carded an 8-over, 80 on Thursday during the third round of the NCAA Championships at University of Georgia Golf Course. Ha is in 90th place through three rounds.
Ha got off to her best start of the week, making par on her first hole (No. 10) of the day. She erased a bogey on the next hole with a birdie on No. 13 and was even through five holes. Ha added two more birdies on No. 6 and No. 8, and was even over her final seven holes as well.
A rough six-hole stretch in the middle of Thursday's round prevented Ha from entering the final round in the top 50. She failed to make par on the final four holes of the back nine and first two of the front nine. A triple-bogey on the par-3 No. 16 put her eight shots shot for those six holes.
No. 1 Southern California remains in first place and has a team score of 19-under, 845 for the week. The Trojans' Annie Park now leads the way for the individual title with a 9-under, 207.
Ha is scheduled for a final round tee time of 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
