• The Bulls have advanced to Cleveland for the 10th straight year. The Mid-American Conference announced its All-MAC teams on Monday and Javon McCrea was named to the first team and while Jarryn Skeete was named to the All-Freshman Team. McCrea is the first player in school history to make 200 field goals in a season (227). He has made 44 more field goals than any other  player in the MAC (BG’s A’uston Calhoun has 183). McCrea is the only player to rank in the top three in the MAC in scoring,rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots... The Cardinals hold a 13-9 lead in the all-time series with the Bulls. Ball State lost its only meeting with Buffalo this season, falling 66-63 in Muncie on Jan. 23 in a game that featured 11 lead changes in the second half. Jauwan Scaife scored 18 points in the game to lead Ball State, while Buffalo’s Javon McCrea led all scorers with 24. The teams have met twice previously in the MAC Tournament with Buffalo winning both. The Bulls defeated the Cardinals 80-72 in a first-round game in Buffalo in 2006 and posted a 64-52 victory over BSU in the semifinals of the 2009 tournament in Cleveland.

• After a thrilling 63-52 win at No. 6 seed Bowling Green on Monday, the 11th-seeded RedHawks advance to the Mid-American Conference Tournament second round to face No. 7 seed Eastern Michigan at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. It will be the eighth time the teams have met in MAC Tournament action with the RedHawks holding a 4-3 edge in the tournament series. Miami scored 17 points off the Falcons’ 10 turnovers, and the RedHawks received 29 points from their bench. Junior forward Jon Harris led all scorers with 14 points, and he scored all of his points in the first half...The Eagles are now 15-17 after their first postseason game of the 2012-13 campaign. After going 7-9 in conference play they earned the No. 7 seed in the FirstEnergy MAC Tournament. Redshirt senior Derek Thompson is leading the offensive charge for the Green and White, posting 11.1 points per game, while redshirt junior Glenn Bryant is putting up 10.7. Daylen Harrison is averaging 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds, while fellow transfer Da’Shonte Riley is leading Eastern on the glass, hauling in 5.9 rebounds a game this season. Freshman Jalen Ross has dished out 75 assists, good for 2.3 per game, which tops EMU.
