 EMU Redshirt senior Derek Thompson is leading the offensive charge for the Green and White, posting 10.8 points per game, while redshirt junior Glenn Bryant is putting up 10.6. Daylen Harrison is averaging 8.9 points and 5.0 rebounds, while fellow transfer Da’Shonte Riley has led Eastern on the glass, hauling in 5.8 rebounds a game this season. Freshman Jalen Ross has dished out 74 assists, good for 2.5 per game, which tops EMU...The Rockets come into Saturday’s matchup with a record of 14-13 overall, while settling at a 9-6 mark in MAC games this season. Rian Pearson leads UT in points (17.9) and rebounds (6.9) per game this season, while Julius Brown is dishing out 5.8 assists per contest. Pearson leads the conference in scoring and is seventh in rebounding.

• Western Michigan clinched their seventh MAC West division title on Tuesday, the sixth they’ve won under head coach Steve Hawkins. The Broncos will play in the 2013 First Energy MAC Tournament as the third seed, with their first game scheduled for Thursday, March 14 at 9 p.m. Darius Paul will end the regular season having led all MAC freshmen in scoring (10.6 ppg) and rebounding (6.0)... With a victory, the Chippewas will secure the No. 9 seed and their 12th win. With a loss, they could be the 9th, 10th or 11th seed. In the last 28 meetings, the road team has won just eight times. Central’s most recent victory in Kalamazoo was the final game of the 2008-09 season. Each of the three losses since then have been by single-digits, including a three-point setback last year and an overtime loss the year before that.
 
Northern Illinois (5-23, 3-12 MAC) at Ball State (14-14, 7-8 MAC)

• The Cardinals have won four games in a row and six of their past seven, while Northern Illinois has suffered losses in nine straight. MAC Tournament seeding is on the line as the Cardinals would secure the No. 5 seed and a first-round bye in the Mid-American Conference with a victory Saturday. Jauwan Scaife is averaging 25.0 points per game over the past seven contests and has moved into a tie for the MAC scoring lead in conference play at 20.1 points per game in league action... Northern Illinois has lost its past nine games to drop to 5-23 overall and 3-12 in the MAC. The Huskies will be seeded between No. 9 and No. 11 for the MAC Tournament. Abdel Nader leads the team in scoring at 13.1 points per game, but the sophomore forward has missed the Huskies’ past two games.
 
Miami (8-20, 3-12 MAC) at Ohio (22-8, 13-2 MAC)

• Ohio will face off with Miami in the 191st edition of the “Battle of the Bricks” Saturday afternoon.Prior to the contest, Ohio will pay tribute to the program’s six seniors in a special pre-game ceremony. Ivo Baltic, D.J. Cooper, Nick Goff, Reggie Keely, David McKinley and Walter Offutt will be honored. The sextet of seniors will go down as arguably the most accomplished class in Ohio history. The group has set the school record for overall wins by a class (92) as well as post-season wins (12). On Tuesday, Cooper became the first player in NCAA Division I history to record 2,000 points, 900 assists, 600 rebounds and 300 steals in a career...The RedHawks have posted an 8-20 record this season and are 3-12 on the road this season. Miami is 3-12 in MAC play this season and sits in sixth place in the East Division. Junior forward Will Felder leads Miami with 12.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while junior Quinten Rollins is the team’s leading assists man (3.9 apg).
