The current NCAA Rankings (USA Today/NWCA/AWN Coaches) features the MAC with three of the top twenty wrestling programs in the nation with Missouri ranked No. 7, Central Michigan ranked No. 12 and Northern Iowa ranked No. 20.
In addition, all eight MAC wrestling programs feature at least one wrestler ranked in the top 33 in one of the ten weight classes. Missouri and Central Michigan lead the way with eight wrestlers ranked in the top 25, while Northern Iowa and Kent State both have six wrestlers ranked. Ohio and Eastern Michigan both have four wrestlers ranked, while Buffalo has two grapplers and Northern Illinois has one wrestler ranked.
The MAC features a wrestler ranked either first or second in three of the ten weight classes. Kent State's Dustin Kilgore is ranked No. 1 in the 197 weight class, while Missouri's Dom Bradley is ranked No. 1 at heavyweight. Central Michigan's Ben Bennett is ranked No. 2 at the 184 weight class.
