Central Michigan senior offensive tackle Eric Fisher was named Sports Illustrated Second Team All-America, headlining the list of Mid-American Conference student-athletes honored.
Fisher was part of an offensive line that paved the way for running back Zurlon Tipton to rank tied for first in the conference with 19 rushing touchdowns and rank fourth in the conference with 1,391 yards rushing. A native of Rochester, Mich., Fisher and the Chippewas will be participating in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl on Dec. 26 at Ford Field against Western Kentucky at 7:30 pm ET on ESPN.
