MAC Announces Field Hockey Players of the Week

Offensive FIeld Hockey Player of the Week
Erin Dye, Central Michigan, Midfielder
Senior, St. Louis, Mo. (Cor Jesu Academy)
Dye scored two goals to lead the Chippewas to a 2-0 weekend over Ball State and Pacific to increase her team-leading season goal count to seven. Dye tied the game, 1-1, against Ball State on Saturday with a direct shot off a penalty corner, the first goal of five for the Chippewas en route to the team's first MAC win of the season. She also scored the Chippewas' opening goal of their 2-1 win over Pacific on Sunday. She is already just three goals short of her career-high goal count of 10.

Defensive Field Hockey Player of the Week
Brittany Walker, Ohio, Defender
Sophomore, Elizabethtown, Pa. (Elizabethtown Area)
Brittany Walker earned her second shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over St. Joe’s. She now leads the league in that category and goals against average (1.87). She also ranks second in the league with a .746 save percentage.

Other Nominees:

Allie White, Ball State, Forward

Freshman, Kettering, Ohio

White scored the game-winning goal in the 3-2 win over the Indiana Hoosiers with just 18 seconds left in the game. She was also credited with an assist in the Central Michigan game. She now has four goals for the season and three assists with a .211 shooting average.

Simone Lazar, Central Michigan, Midfielder

Junior, Etobicoke, Ontario (Michael Power/St. Joseph HS)

Lazar was instrumental on a CMU defense that allowed just a penalty stroke in Sunday's 2-1 win over Pacific, and prevented Ball State from tying the match late on Saturday in a 5-3 win. The Chippewas allowed just three shots against the Tigers on Sunday.

Hillary Lawless, Missouri State, Forward

Junior, St. Louis, Mo. (Lafayette High)

Hillary Lawless played an integral role in Missouri State's 3-1 win over Miami on Saturday. The junior from St. Louis, Mo. scored twice and placed three shots on goal against the Redhawks.

Reiann Stoute, Missouri State, Defender

Senior, Bridgetown, Barbados (Combermere School)

Reiann Stoute led Missouri State's defense in Missouri State's 3-1 win over Miami on Saturday. The senior picked up a defensive save to lead the Bears over the Redhawks.

Taylor Brown, Ohio,

Senior, Elkton, Md. (Caravel Academy)

Notched her second game-winner of the season for the ‘Cats in a win over St. Joe’s. She currently leads the MAC with 1.70 points per game and now was 17 points on the season (6G, 5A). She led the league last season with six game-winning goals and finished second with 15 total tallies.
