MAC Names Western Michigan QB Alex Carder as MAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Week
Alex Carder (Quarterback, Senior, 3.657, Communications) threw for over 300 yards in a game for the 12th time in his career and first time this season, registering 364 yards on 29-of-40 passing in a 52-21 victory over Eastern Illinois this past weekend. Carder also threw five TDs in the win, marking the fifth time in his career he has accomplished that feat. Carder found three different receivers for a TD, one to tight end Matt Cutler (2 yds), two to receiver Jaime Wilson (13 yds, 16 yds) and two to tight end Blake Hammond (1 yd, 2 yds).
