POSTPONED
BOCA RATON, FL -- The scheduled men's soccer match between FAU and Bryant University for Sunday morning was called during warmups due to weather.

With both teams on the field preparing for a 10 a.m. start, high winds and rain forced the postponement. No makeup date has yet been announced.

The Owls next travel to Jacksonville for a pair of games. They play Jacksonville University on Friday, August 31, at 8:30 p.m., and the University of North Florida two days later, at 3:30 p.m.

Western Michigan 2, Bradley 1 (OT)
PEORIA, Ill.- Western Michigan men's soccer improved to 2-0 on the season, upsetting No. 25 Bradley Sunday evening in overtime, 2-1.
Marco Lobo gave WMU a 1-0 advantage in the 27th minute and the Broncos nearly made it through regulation with the lead, but the Braves were able to counter in the 83rd minute, pushing the game into overtime.

Mario Teixeira gave Western Michigan the win with the golden goal in the 99th minute, making a run from the back and unleashing a laser inside the right post.

"I couldn't be prouder of this team and the fantastic result today," said head coach Stu Riddle. "There is a very special unity and energy about this group of players and its that bond that helped us win this game.

"We played very well in the first half and Marco's goal was one for the highlight reel, a really classy finish."

"Bradley deserved the equalizer they got and for us to then rally and come out victorious away from home against a top-25 team says a lot about this team and their character."

Both Lobo and Teixeira's goals were their first in a Bronco uniform. Lobo's goal was a sight to see, collecting a ball from Ryan Lemasters on the top left edge of the penalty area, spinning on his left foot and blasting a screamer into the upper right corner at 26:33. LeMasters also had the assist on Teixeira's game-winner.

"We will enjoy this on the bus tonight and get back to preparing for another tough game against IPFW on Wednesday," Riddle concluded.

The Broncos will look to improve to 3-0 Wednesday, hosting IPFW at 4 p.m. at the WMU Soccer Complex.
